March 31, 2002Состоялась встреча со 2 Секретарем Посольства Израиля Шмуэлем Кацевым в помещении общества еврейской культуры. На встрече господин Кацев ответил на вопросы, связанные с ситуацией на Ближнем Востоке и дал консультацию по вопросам репатриации. March 20, 2002

September 16, 2001The Organization of former prisoners ghetto and concentration camps visited the burial place of the Jews, executed within World War II under Nikolaev, in Voskresensk. The trip was organized by Nikolaev Jewish Culture Community with the support of All-Ukrainian Jewish Congress. September 16, 2001

September 8, 2001On holiday of Day of the city the Jewish Culture Community took part in a celebratory parade. The group of youth with an Israeli flag has passed on the central streets of our city in structure of a column of Council of nationalities. September 7, 2001The statement of musical performance of theatrical collective of St. Pitersburg Hillel "Lehaim, Mendel" was held. More than 200 spectators of this statement longly did not let off the young, talented executors from the stage, whose game did not keep anybody indifferent. August 14, 2001
August 8, 2001The Jewish Culture Community was visited by the chiefs of Association of national associations of Ukraine. July 21, 2001Family camp began its work. 74 persons had a rest on a coast of the Black sea near Ochakov. July 9, 2001In the Community center the children's playground began work. 25 children daily visit our Community center, where games, classes and competitions are carried out. In the afternoon they have dinner, and after snack they come back home. July 7, 2001Five guys from Youth club went to the youth camp in Sebastopol. June 26, 2001From June 26 till June 29, in Odessa passed a seminar "School of the young leaders". One of the leaders of our Youth club Mila Dudnik took part in it. April 19, 2001The Youth club conducted conversation devoted to the Day of Catastrophe and heroism. The action was conducted in the Museum of JCC, next to the museum stands devoted to Holocaust on the territory of Nikolaev area.
The schoolboys of high classes conducted Seders in houses of the elderly people.
On Sunday, March 4, we have organized a holiday concert dedicated to Purim.
On November 12 the report on Community Festival of Jewish Book was prepared. Since October 24 to November 2 Community Festival of Jewish Book took place. Jewish Culture Community, Hesed and Sinagogue conducted the Festival jointly with support of the JDC. The program of Festival was very rich and variable. ...News archive... |

A synagogue in Nikolaev has been vandalized. Vandals smashed windows and scrawled graffiti reading "Kikes, get out of Ukraine" on the walls of the synagogue on the night of January 27, 2002. The Jewish community has asked police to investigate the incident.
The youth club «Shtilim» of Nikolaev Jewish Culture Community celebrated the first anniversary. Guys in the comic form congratulated each other, and winners of competitions received prizes.
In Nikolaev Art museum opening of exposition «Inexhaustible source» (artists-Jews and artists about Jews) was held. On opening there were representatives of regional administration, management of culture. The visitor of the exposition became one of the chiefs of community programs of the JDC Jerusalem office Aharon Weiss. Nikolaev Jewish Culture Community was one of the organizers of the exposition.
The 11th Plenary Assembly of the 
On Maccabi Autumn tournament in Kiev 2 teams of the Jewish Community Center - on football and on chess departed.
Passed 3 congresses of All-Ukrainian Jewish congress and 2 congresses of the United Jewish community of Ukraine. On the congresses the Nikolaev regional Jewish community was represented by a delegation of 15 persons. M. Goldenberg headed the delegation.
Has left 9 issues of the newspaper of the Jewish culture community "BOKER". On the eighth page the next part of the list from People Search page was placed by tradition.
Opening of the annual Community festival of the Jewish book (OFEK). The festival is carried out in common by all Jewish organizations of the city.
Day of Memory, devoted to 60 anniversary from the date of execution of the Jews in Dobroe village. Children and parents, relatives of the lost, local inhabitants became participants of the meeting, organized by the Jewish Culture Community.
The Day of Knowledge was conducted. It marked the beginning of academic year in the Community Centre and at Sunday school. So the new academic year began.
The chairman of board of Nikolaev Jewish Culture Community M. Goldenberg took part in the conference conducted by Council of nationalities within the framework of festival of national cultures "FRIENDSHIP".
11 guys went for 9 days to the Summer camp Maccabi under Kharkov.
The Victory day was solemnly celebrated at the presence of 50 participants of battle operations. The ensemble of the Jewish Culture Community performed music of pre-war years, the songs of times of the War and Jewish tunes sounded.
The dancing ensemble "Stilim" of the Community center took part in the town celebratory concert.
The Organization of former prisoners conducted an assembly devoted to the Day of Catastrophe and heroism.

Exhibition "Holocaust in Nikolaev district" is opened in the museum of Jewish Community Center of Nikolaev Jewish Culture Community. The exposition is situated in room 34 of Palace of Culture, and it is opened for everybody.|
